The Decentralized Arts Funding Program, a unique program for funding arts and cultural activities on a per capita basis across the state, is facing extreme cutbacks with a significant cut in Statewide Arts Grants in the 2009/2010 state budget. The Arts Council of New Orleans administers the Decentralized Arts Grants in the Greater New Orleans region and the Louisiana Division of the Arts administers Statewide Arts Grants.
