What is the Arts Market of New Orleans?
Presented by the Arts Council of New Orleans, the Arts Market is a monthly arts market held the LAST Saturday of every month. Located in lovely Palmer Park, at the corner of South Carrollton and South Claiborne Avenues, last stop of the historic St. Charles streetcar.
The Arts Market features handmade, affordable art from local and regional artists and artisans. Styles of art include Painting, Photography, Ceramics, Glass, Jewelry, Wood, and Printmaking, plus handmade clothing, soap, and other delights. Between 75 and 135 artists display and sell their wares each month.
What else happens at the Arts Market?
The Arts Market also features live entertainment, food and beverage booths, and a Kids Tent with a show followed by craft activities.
How are artists accepted to exhibit at the Market?
The Market is always looking for new artists from LA and MS who are interested in exhibiting their handmade, original work. Interested artists who have never exhibited at the Arts Market should review the guidelines , then download and complete the application and mail it in with the $15 application fee and 5 jpegs of their work to:

New artist applications must be received by the Arts Council by noon on the first Friday of the month.
How much is an artist booth fee?
10'x10' booths are rented to individual artists for $80 a month, $75 for Arts Council members. The Arts Market does not provide tents, tables, or set-up assistance. Shared booths are available for $50 per person, or $45 for Arts Council members, though both artists must submit an application and be accepted by the Arts Market.

It is the mission of the Arts Council to support and to expand the opportunities for diverse artistic expression and to bring the community together in celebration of our rich multi-cultural heritage. We believe this centrally located, accessible Arts Market featuring visual and performing arts will not only enhance our community, but also provide needed economic development to the artists of New Orleans.
