Presented by the Arts Council of New Orleans, the Arts Market is a monthly arts market held the LAST Saturday of every month. Located in lovely Palmer Park, at the corner of South Carrollton and South Claiborne Avenues, last stop of the historic St. Charles streetcar.
What kind of art is featured at the Arts Market?
The Arts Market features handmade, affordable art from local and regional artists and artisans. Styles of art include Painting, Photography, Ceramics, Glass, Jewelry, Wood, and Printmaking, plus handmade clothing, soap, and other delights. Between 75 and 135 artists display and sell their wares each month.
What else happens at the Arts Market?
The Arts Market also features live entertainment, food and beverage booths, and a Kids Tent with a show followed by craft activities.
How are artists accepted to exhibit at the Market?
The Market is always looking for new artists from LA and MS who are interested in exhibiting their handmade, original work. Interested artists who have never exhibited at the Arts Market should review the guidelines and rule, then download and complete the application and email it and 5 images of their work to the market manager: firstname.lastname@example.org
