Last Orleans Grant Workshop for April 2013 Application Deadline
Thursday, March 21, from 4:00 - 5:30 p.m. is the last workshop that will be held in Orleans Parish covering how to apply for an arts grant in the Arts Council of New Orleans’ April 24, 2013 application deadline. The free workshop will be held at Ashe’ Cultural Center, 1712 Oretha Castle Haley Boulevard, New Orleans. Registration is not required.

Workshop attendance is strongly recommended, especially for first-time applicants - application details change from year to year. The workshop will cover the types of grants available, the eligibility requirements, the application process, and tips on how to submit a competitive application. A number of printed guidelines and application forms will be available.

The grants will support arts activities in Orleans, Jefferson, and Plaquemines Parishes. The application deadline is April 24, 2013 (required online submission), with a required hard copy submission by April 25, 2013. Grant categories included in this deadline are Operating Support and Project Assistance.

The grants offered are through two funding programs administered by the Arts Council of New Orleans. The Louisiana Decentralized Arts Funding Program supports arts activities in Orleans, Jefferson, and Plaquemines Parishes that will take place October 1, 2013 – September 30, 2014. The Community Arts Grants Program supports arts activities in Orleans Parish that will take place January - December of 2014.

Arts Council 2013 Grant Deadline
Application Information for FY 2014 Grants

The deadline to submit applications for FY 2014 grants through the Arts Council of New Orleans is April 24, 2013 (required online submission) and April 25, 2013 (required hard copy submission).

Operating Support and Project Assistance grants are being offered in the April 2013 deadline through two programs the Arts Council administers: the Louisiana Decentralized Arts Funding Program (for Orleans, Jefferson and Plaquemines Parishes) and the Community Arts Grants Program (for Orleans Parish only). Both online and hard copy application submissions are required.

Please read the grant program guidelines carefully - application information such as grants offered and allowable request amounts has changed. The guidelines outline the steps and requirements involved in submitting an application. The application forms detail the hard copy submission instructions: how to compile the original application and the copy sets, how many copy sets are needed, and how to submit required and optional attachments. Free grant workshops will be offered and are strongly recommended for guidance on preparing a competitive application. Webinars will also be conducted and consultations with Grants staff may be scheduled.

Applicants should access grant application forms as soon as possible - forms are available only through the Online Granting System. Grant-seekers must log on to the system in order to view the applications. For instructions on how to use the online application system, please refer to the Online Granting System Applicant User Manual before starting an application.

Below are links to the FY 2014 grant application materials.
