Health Insurance Marketplace Opens
The Health Insurance Marketplace

Created by the Affordable Care Act, the newly opened Health Insurance Marketplace will significantly reduce costs for uninsured and self-insured individuals. Nearly 6 in 10 uninsured Americans could get insurance for $100/month or less. You can see all the plans in one place and the lower costs you may qualify for at www.healthcare.gov or by calling 1-800-318-2596. Be sure to sign-up by December 15 so your coverage starts on January 1. For one-on-one assistance, visit your local community health center: www.504healthnet.org. To request more information about the Marketplace for your office, church, or community group, contact Maxwell Ciardullo in the New Orleans Health Department at: msciardullo@nola.gov.
