We believe the arts are essential to the life of the community. And, we are thankful to the foundations and individuals that fund our projects during 2009-2010.
The Joan Mitchell Foundation funded the Art in Public Places installations, 19 artworks displayed in New Orleans.
The Emily Hall Tremaine Foundation and
Joan Mitchell Foundation provide support for our Art Business Program workshops and webinars.
RosaMary Foundation continues to fund the Artists as Entrepreneur course. Our monthly Arts Market at Palmer Park receives funds from
New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Foundation for music programs and from
Target for kid’s activities. Our award-winning ELLA Project, which provides pro-bono legal services to artists, receives funding from the
Greater New Orleans Foundation Community Impact Program and the
Louisiana State Bar Association. We are pleased that the
Greater Philadelphia Culture Alliance and the
Pew Charitable Trusts fund NOLAFun Guide, which is currently adding new features to create a world-class platform for our New Orleans’ artistic community.
Operating support is possible with the generous help of the
Azby Fund, the
Zemurray Foundation, and numerous
individual donors. With the confidence and commitment of our funders, the Arts Council of New Orleans continues to serve the cultural economy of New Orleans.
